eFlightJournal 2.04

Originally conceived as a simple concept—an iPhone app with a spoken countdown timer to monitor flight duration—eFlightJournal has evolved into a comprehensive RC flight tracking solution that I now rely on for every flight.

The app features a voice-enabled flight timer that provides regular updates, along with an organized history of flights categorized by aircraft, battery, and location. It also offers summaries of total flights and accumulated durations for each category, facilitating efficient record-keeping and analysis.

The timer interface enables quick selection of aircraft and battery, with automatic location detection streamlining the pre-flight setup process. The app can be customized to announce the remaining time, vibrate, or emit sounds at specified intervals, allowing pilots to focus on flying without distraction.

eFlightJournal also tracks battery status, including charge state (charged, discharged, storage), and monitors charge cycles. Batteries that require recharge display their last flight time in red, providing immediate insight into their usage history.
